If your definition of GG is that a G matters for you and not for your opponent, then it is GG. If your definition is that it is equivalent to -1,-2C where gammons are worth twice usual for you and zero for your opponent, it is not. GG benchmark rollouts must be standardized and so they assume -1,-2C. So -1,-4C is not GG in this sense and you cannot blindly apply GG benchmark results to this score (though always a good indication of what is right).
Yes a G saves you having to win another game later. However, consider that the same could be said of winning an undoubled G vs. a single game at a score of 0-0. Just because G's don't matter at all at even Crawford scores does not imply they are always worth more than usual at odd ones.
