Rollout etc

The actual answer to this type of theoretical question comes down to what you want to do in your matches. Have the lowest humanly possible error rate, or win more of your matches.
If you double this type of position now, and the computer agrees... then your error rate is zero.
However, there is much to be gained by waiting against humans. Two things stand out.
1. You will not play as well as the bot after doubling so theoretically it is NOT a double for YOU yet. You won't be able to achieve the same results in this long protracted game, so how can it be a double for a human if even the both thinks it is close now???
2. Your human opponent may have evne less of a clue about backgame positions and waiting may get you a blunder of a take later. Unless you expect the guy to pass NOW, then you surely gain by waiting. If you figure he is chicken hearted and double, and get a pass... More power to you!
