It is really easy to play with a clock, you just need to adjust your muscle memory to hit the clock instead of lifting the dice. You will find that after you've played a match this way that you immediately have the same problem readjusting to non-clocked play.

The "time problem" that you will have playing with a clock for the first time is that you will play uncomfortably faster than you normally would. Your instinct will be to always try to complete your play within the 12 second delay because you are afraid to eat into your sacred match time. Just ignore the clock and play at your normal pace. If your normal pace is not ridiculously slow, you will never be anywhere close to time trouble.

If your time ever gets down to 2 minutes, then you can think about trying to stay within the buffer. Worry about that if the situation ever occurs which should be pretty close to never.
