In Response To: Speaking of match breaks -- ethics question (Chuck Bower)

I'd simply prefer that dinner breaks do not happen when matches are in progress.

Obligatory Clock Play and careful match / dinner break scheduling would go a long way in achieving this.

IMHO:

1 = One thing leads to another in a conversation. Where would you draw the line of what is decent and what is indecent? Sorry, you're creating gray areas by even starting the conversation.

2 = Could be considered tantamount to consulting a human match equity table.

3 = Gleaning information from others about your opponent during a match - that's a no no with my thinking.

4 = Very unethical to the point of cheating.
