How would you have played 54? I guess this is about creating greater inflexibility and pressure by putting their timing on test 1. we may gain the precious couple rolls of time to roll some sixes 2. or see their prime wash away if they instantly land on 4pt with 44 3. or still maintaining some prime from 2,3,5,6,8,9 points should they make the 1pt or the 4pt 4. or four or more points to pass if they land on 2pt, then our 8pt may prove itself once again

And one more guess, by making our 4pt now their game is much easier to play.
