You mention a "former job"--does online BG have something to do with why you are no longer there?

If you want to play BG frequently during what people normally call "working hours", you need to consider becoming self-employed. It may mean you sometimes have to work nights and weekends because of deadlines or emergencies, but aside from that, your time and your firewall settings are your own...
