Uhh, why is this move considered interesting? I guess because it is the last moment when blue might consider volunteering a shot at a time when hitting it may well cause your opponent to gammon himself sometimes. Probably just better to bide your time and get the third spare off of the midpoint while waiting patiently for a set to clear it. Of course White will only be risking 4.5% or so by doubling such a move, considering the score. Not a bad reason to do it, and trick your opponent into doubling you into match point. I don't remember what you did, here Matt... I guess volunteering is an okay move here when normally it is ill-advised.
