Lots of choices here, none of which look very good. 10/5 13/11 leaves a dbl shot which definitely looks wrong with a 14 pip (after playing this 52)lead in the race. You could also try 13/6 or 8/6/1 both of which leave 10 shots. Or 10/3x which leaves 18 hitters. 8/3x/1 leaves 14 shots. Finally there's the super safe and stacky 13/8 10/8. Ugly but zero shots.
The question is whether or not any of the shot-leaving plays gain enough when the oppt fails to hit to outweigh the loss from being hit? I don't think so and would stack up the 8-point. The play has no aesthetic value but I count 14 rolls that play constructively and safely next time. If you roll one of the other 22, you'll just have to leave a shot which is no worse than leaving one now.
