Clocks in Charlotte

Bob, my comment was not directed at anyone in particular and I have no desire to take a poll on your play. I'll leave that to you if you are interested. I know that I have played painfully slow on occasion, particularly when tired. It happens. I try not to make a habit of it.
What I would like to avoid with the introduction of clocks to this game is that the reserve time gets viewed as a "use it or lose it" budget and the perception that if you've got 10 minutes of time left at the end that you did not think long enough. Clocks should simply never be a reason for people to play slower than they would off the clock.
I maintain that it should be rare that a player comes close to using up their reserve time. And I don't agree that this necessarily means there should be less time allotted. The goal is to have 99% of normal unclocked matches finish within the alotted time if played on the clock, and eliminate the 4 hour matches, and that implies that the vast majority of the time, if everyone simply plays at their normal pace, few people should be anywhere close to running out of time on a regular basis.
