Clocks in Charlotte

You may also have noticed that he tries to use as much of the 12 second delay as possible for each move.

I said this semi-facetiously, although as Bob himself confirmed, he does pause after all but the most obvious moves to ensure he hasn't overlooked something.

I did not find Bob's play "painfully slow", or even "slow" at all, in Charlotte, nor at any other time that I have played him unclocked at our local club (said club, which by the way, now has a Clocks-OR policy beginning this year). In fact, with clock usage I can't even fathom the concept of slow play. I am tickled pink for my opponent to use as much time as possible, as often as possible!

I had an earlier mission here to try to poke some jabs at UBK to try to get a rise out of him, in order to test the Unflappable part of his moniker. But that has not worked, and usually just pissed off other people instead. See, e.g.:

So I have abandoned this project. UBK truly is unflappable. He is also very pleased the Steelers beat the Ravens, because ESPN and Westwood One used the term "unflappable" at least three times to describe Ravens rookie quarterback Joe Flacco, and he would have wrested the U from UBK had they prevailed over the Steelers.

It is also a good thing UBK tanked the Skunk Dice finals in Charlotte, because I had a new nickname all lined up for him: Skunk Bob Squarepants
