"Something to ponder - if you were to play the last third of the match at the same pace you played the first two thirds (and I don't know that you didn't), how long would it have actually taken? While the entire match time was "within budget", is it possible that during the earlier "unpressured" games that an average opponent or spectator would have considered the pace to be uncomfortably slow?"

Suppose it is a 13 point match with a bunch of small point games and is now at 5 away - 5 away. I would typically have about 7-8 minutes remaining. The very last game might be played very quickly but excepting that game the last third of a match would not be much quicker than the first two thirds.
