It's a good idea to look this over once before you face it over the board. Anybody who plays enough will face this situation someday: you lead -1:-4 and your opponent forgets to double until the middlegame (or endgame). It happened to me years ago in Novi vs. a decent player, and when he finally doubled I had a classic 5 point holding game (a la Robertie 201C). I spent a couple of minutes working out that my takepoint was ~40% and eventually passed.

It's easier to get it right if you aren't surprised by the implications.
