The hitting play is definetely an option. Hav a deeper look at it and you'll see the benefits of the play.

It's a fun option that leads to much more interesting games than the quiet anchor play. I would play it because I thought it was correct and against inferior opponents I'd play it even faster as it leaves much more room for errors from the opponent.
