If we can accept the rollout results for 35P-23 where 13/11 is forced and then it is correct to split instead of down, we have something of a benchmark for this position. The question is how does owning the 5 point change things.

Taking away the 54 hit against 13/10 is big. However, 13/10 no longer has the advantage of acting as a builder for the 5 point. Furthermore, the 5 point helps to protect against the attack if we split 24/21. So overall these effects roughly cancel and we are left with the same result.
