Does BGblitz roll out both plays simultaneously like GNU or 1 at a time (ack) like Snowie?

If you start several rollouts from one position, the rollouts are done sequentially, if you start rollouts from several positions they are done in parallel (if you have more than 1 core/cpu).

Why in the world no parallel rollout, if started from one position? First, if you use 1-ply it is so fast you don't care (much). If you use 2 or 3-ply BGBlitz uses several CPU's anyway. Second it would have been a lot of work and because it's in most cases probably not important I do other things.

Can you easily stop, save, and resume a rollout with BGblitz? Yes, Yes, No. When you stop it it is stopped, not paused.

BGblitz starts counting from 1 ply like Snowie I assume? It counts (as all other programs in BG, chess, Go, Othello, etc.) the decisions to be made, so starting with 1.

How do we know what settings you used? One would think that would be available in the output. This is on my todo list for the next release. With 2.7 the rollouts will be pretty nice...

ciao Frank
