OT sickening officiating

The joke officiating of the game yesterday only serves to remind me why I am no longer a pro football fan (30 years ago I was rabid, the last 20 years I could really care less); however, I do usually watch the Super Bowl as an 'event'.
Long ago I grew very cynical of pro football and now place it only slightly above professional wrestling in legitimacy. The game yesterday only reinforced the feeling. I just can't get the foul taste of taint (from fore-ordainment and inevitability) out of mouth. I think the NFL controls, to the maximum extent reasonably possible, the outcome of games, the season, the draft, awards, etc. to maximize their business interests -- and no one will ever convince me otherwise. And that's fine, it is a business. But don't try to sell it as legit. If you're no better than the WWF, then just buck up and admit it. And I'm not picking on the NFL, the NBA is no better, and probably worse.
But I'm with Neil, I think, based on the link he posted here. Give the Steelers credit for their last drive; however, let's be fair and even-handed here. Though television and, consequently, every viewer in the world saw Holmes' endzone antics -- which is an automatic 15 yard penalty on the kickoff -- none of the referees or NFL officials bothered to notice. Then to not even review the last Cardinal play was the coup-de-grace. I personally thought it a fumble, but I've seen much stranger calls by replay officials -- 3-4 in this very game. And, were it ruled a fumble, yet another 15 yards for yet another personal foul would have been stepped off against the Steelers. So, the Cardinals could have easily been looking at a couple of shots into the end zone from the 20-25 yard line.
Who knows? But, NFL, let's at least try to make it appear fair and legit.
