6-2 from the bar

I can confirm some of this. Back in the late 90s, Ron Whitney - the late director of the New Jersey Backgammon Club referred to Joe Schwartz on a number of occasions in the context of 62 from the bar.
I think that the set of dice rolls is large enough that we can let Schwartz and Mellen share credit for their role in publicizing 62 from the bar and Coolrey can stake his claim for 26 from the bar. There. I have divided the baby with Soloman like wisdom.
All I can say of Coolrey is that while he may not have authored the phrase "26 from the bar", he has made it his own, much as the Beatles did with "Twist and Shout". Of course "26 from the bar" is not exactly what we mean by "rolls with names".
