26 from the bar??? (!)

Above you will find the macro that I use on GG, for the last 13 now going on 14 years. Prior to that, I called the number out loud as is my current habit for some time. However, I have never "claimed" this number to be my own. I further assert that it is called 26 from the bar... even when the only point open is the 6 point thereby necessitating the use of the 6 first.

I have merely added to, or perpetuated the folklore I first encountered reading Danny Kleinman's books. I believe this phenomena, (or legend), appears in Vision Laughs at Counting. That book must be 30 years old now! Sometime after that in a friendly chouette in Palmdale, CA, I started saying it every time it came up. The practice has gained momentum ever since.

A "Fogerlund" is a name I sort of find incongruous and not really applicable... But whatever floats people's boats. I just have a lot of fun saying it in what I hope is sort of an inimitable fashion. CJC and I recently rolled 26 from the bar four times in succession, which was in itself rather a remarkable feat. I think that happened in Florida last year.
