Initially I thought as you did, but he only hits that ace 30.5% of the time and if he doesn't hit we cover nicely with 3's and 1's and noting that some of his aces are duped I slotted. There is the likely blocked 5 to worry about, but it won't be the end of the world to give up the 10 pt to make the 5 pt.
