Just reread this and agreed with everything the first time except I didn't see any way it could be a cube, even against F. What I missed the first time around was that the real purpose to doubling here would be to kill the value of white's gammons (which are significant) while giving an essentially dead cube. Those two factors could make a cube correct in an even game like this if there are any market losers (which there are). I still wouldn't double, but I now see that it would be a close decision.
