I think Chuck is referring to the fact that Jacoby is turned on for positions and is not like the other GNU settings, e.g., it doesn't require you to roll it out one game, you can simply send the match file with nothing rolled out to get +J.
In any case I've never had a problem getting +J or -J money positions, but I know what I am doing with GNU. It could be easier than it is implemented.
Cliffs notes:
It came up once. You have to turn off Jacoby (Settings >> Options >> Cube >> Uncheck Use Jacoby Rule >> OK) then save your settings. (Settings >> Save settings). After this you close that instantiation of GNU and open a new one and now Jacoby will definitely be toggled off. I always double check if I'm doing something like this ... but it should be 100%.
This will work.
