Does Blue have a take? I think so. A gammon isn't too likely and Blue can win this game in the race, from the 18-point, or from the 23-point. OTOH, the relative closeness of the race makes it difficult for Blue to hang onto both of his defensive points. His next 5 will probably be played 23/18 and it might well be correct to run off the anchor with most 6s as well. 6s don't play well for Blue (except for D6) since they force him to either give up the anchor and leave a direct shot in the outfield or bury men deep in his inner board.

So it looks like a take to me. How about White's double? The rolls that make the 8-point lose the mkt by a decent amount but that's about it. If White rolls anything else and Blue rolls a bad 6 or D4, it looks like Blue will have at least a marginal take/pass decision next time.
