OK summing it all up...

"champions: entry + registration. $500 - 20% = $400 out of which $330 go towards the prize pool"
So I stay 3 nights in the hotel as $129 a night which with taxes is likely about a net of $145/night which with an effective $33 rebated per night becomes $112/night. This is just a bit more than a typical ABT event near major cities in a fine hotel so not so bad, but may be on the high side for some.
Now lets look at the BG. I put $400 into the pot, but there's a $70 rake which is 17.5% which is rather high for the champ division. The side pool is also raked 5%.
What I like about this forum is that most of us aren't afraid to say what they feel and don't care if they stir up a can of worms. The rake and expenses for this T may be on he high side for some, IMHO.
I do hope the couple of directors that rake the side pool stop doing so.
Anyhow...it is unclear to me if this event is what I call "clock-insistable"..ie either play may insist that a clock be used (champ level events) as long as one is available. If it is "clock-insistable" I'll probably attend, but if not, I may decide otherwise, to be honest.
