Compared to the 64 52 42 position, making the split loses some value. The forward position is unchanged, but on the other side of the board, White has almost doubled the PoH numbers if Blue splits, adding 51 and 53 to go with 31, 11, 33 and 44. Since those 5s are good for White's offense, Blue gets some benefit from duplication if he plays 8/4 6/4, exposing the blot on the eight point. Do these factors add up to a 0.03 swing? I'm guessing they do, so Blue should make the four point this time, by about 0.02.
