At first I used "5 seconds", but later that seemed to me to be too little warning. So I have been using 10 seconds, but perhaps ONE MINUTE might be a better alert. That would be in case someone is playing without worrying about the clock.

Remember that we (you included, I think) are of the opinion that "we do not want the clocks to expire but rather keep the players moving at a comfortable pace for the tournament (both players waiting and schedule-wise).
