I agree with your analysis, just not your priorities.
Seems to me that not giving white a clear path to victory is the top priority here. And leaving 4 blots exposed to an opponent looking for a lucky break has got to be the let me bend over to give you easy access play. No, if you stay back to try to milk more gammons out of the position, you leave no blots on your own side of the board.
We are breaking the 6 prime to a 5 prime no matter what. White's best game plan is to hit blots, cover the 3 point and hope to keep blue on the bar long enough to scramble out of the back with at least one checker and turn the cube. It is not likely, but not farfetched either. So deny that clear path to victory and button up 20/18. White is still awkward and may leave a shot anyway. There is no question more gammons will result by not buttoning up, but I don't think the gammons compensate for the losses. At GG I wouldn't hesitate, but not here. And dare I mention that if our opponent's game plan of attacking our blots and scrambling works out, that we are fairly likely to get gammoned in the process?
20/18 9/6
