What's that quip about when deciding between several good moves choose the one that does the most good things?

24/14* puts White on the bar, taking away half his roll, gains the most in the race, escapes 1 back checker (unless hit), and provides some outfield control. But it does leave a blot.

8/2* 6/2 also puts White on the bar, and it makes a 3rd (albeit deep) homeboard point. But it gains less in the race and does nothing about escaping our back checkers.

24/18 22/18 gives us an anchor past White's made 5 and 6 points, thereby decreasing the chances that he gammons us. But it doesn't take away half his roll.

I'll go with 24/14*. Is that my ticket to intermediatocracy?
