22/18 gives Blue too many ways to hit back (4s,6s,1s all of which he either can't or doesn't want to use to enter). If Blue does roll a hitter, you'll have a pretty blotty position where your return 6s might not play well. So I can now see the merits of lifting 8/4 although I didn't even think of this play when I first saw the position. Live and learn.
