You didn't address that argument in your ruling. Do you discount it?
I do.
The mathematician in me wants to see a rule like this: if Blue (let's say) has a roll on the board when his flag falls, then for purposes of adjudication, White gets to decide how that roll is played. Subsequent rolls follow the existing procedure, with each player playing his own checkers but White calling all the rolls. (Possible variant: White gets to play Blue's first roll even if Blue hasn't rolled yet.)
The director in me, however, highly values simplicity in the rule set. I don't think it's worth putting this language in the rules in order to get this particular scenario "right". It's an edge case that will probably never arise in practice.
