Forfeiture / flag falling

I'm still not clear here. Am I correct in attributing your view to the same as Sam's? That is, once a flag falls, the match is over. In the 62 from the bar example, A wins because B flagged prior to being gin. However, if A plays his move, then the onus is on A to demonstrate that B's position was not gin when he flagged.
Ergo, the first player flagging will get his REDLIGHT turned on and freezes the plungers --leading to only one FLAG and that player's REDlight being visual confirmation of same.
This is often fine but not everyone's clock settings will be the same (and often matches will be played with analog clocks, as were prevalent in Vegas). Also the reason I am interested is that I am curious as to how to set my clock and if I know that one interpretation of the rules is correct then I may set my clock differently.
