In Response To: Learning GG play #1..54D-41S-61 (neilkaz)

It is important to know how to follow up your opening rolls, but I only play 54D when the gammon values (cubeful or not) are distorted in favor of my side thus I don't have a ton of recent experience after 54D. Anyhow I recalled a similar situation where the double hit wasn't quite right. Noting that I play better than this opp (less need to win a G here than vs top w/c players) and that he can make some real errors in a positional game(especially bring it home vs my anchor(s)) also helped me decide to make my bar pt and, I did feel that it was technically correct anyhow by a bit.
