I'd like to play 16/11 6/2 but only if White promises not to roll one of his 13/36 hitting numbers.
Between 6/1 5/1 and 9/5 9/4, the latter play is better on some rolls -- 61, 52, 63 -- but if Blue plays 6/1 5/1 now, with most rolls he can clear the 9 point later. At first this might seem to mean that it doesn't matter which play Blue makes now. But there's quite a difference -- if Blue clears the 9 point now he'll have a much easier time of keeping a 4 point board, and it looks like quite a few sequences will let him make a 5 point board. And this is important why? Because White's potential for boardmaking and for not being forced to leave an outfield shots is hardly ideal. So a good Blue board will help either if White hits Blue or if Blue hits White in the next few rolls.
