I'm not sure I understand this...

I doubt if Green can take if he hits with White having 7 off. So neither play is giving up much of anything in the wins department. It's only a question of which play wins more gammons, right?

Still not clear on whether ripping makes up enough Gs when it gets missed compared to the 30% of the time when it gets hit, but it looks like a tricky play to me.
