5/off was best. White's off in 4 rolls so Blue needs to be off in 3. So 4/off leaving 6 checkers is mandatory (4/off is also the only way Blue can bear off in two rolls without rolling two doublets), after which 2/1, 3/2, 4/3 and 5/4 all (if I remember the position correctly) leave 11/36 numbers that fail to bear off a checker. The difference is that 5/4 is the best way to ensure that the next roll leaves no more than one gap -- for instance, rolls of 3-X or 4-X or better. This is more important than the fact that with certain specific doubles, for example 6-6, 5/4 is not the best play.
