Who needs Chuck. The math is straightforward.

I think that if you consider that

1) The probability that the strongest player wins is quite low.

2) The probability that the other strong players win is even lower

It follows that the chances that a strong player will win is low.

Since

3) Someone must win the tournament

It follows that a weaker player will win the tournament.
