Stick is in the midst of a long very cold streak right now. These things can and do happen and can last for a couple of years, even if you play nearly every ABT event. Here's an example of being cold that I told Stick about from a decade or so ago. In a critical tough match, I missed 6 direct single shots (plus some added combos for a couple of them) as my opp was bring home his checkers and bearing off (he rolled horribly to leave that many). Shaking my head I muttered that I'd missed 5 critcal game swinging shots during the previous game. I started counting at 11 critical game changing direct shots and finally many matches later, my count ended at 32 !!
When you're hot, as I seem to be right now things seem to go your way. You can make a small mistake on a critical recube as I did vs Petko and toss 66 and run by his sentries and G him. Or this happens.. as in the QF's. My opp doesn't even have a money recube (I was certain of that) and after some thought recubes with a 5-3 lead and rolls 32 and has to eat the 8 cube. I didn't get my double, but his final roll was a 42, one pip shy.
