Some questions about hedging in tournaments

Money distribution varies from tournament to tournament. Any tournament directed by Howard Markowitz is typically more heavily weighted to first place than most others. As an example, when Norm Wiggins and I played in the Limited Jackpot final a couple of years ago we hedged somewhat to, in our minds, better balance the distribution. It paid two places -- $10,100 for first and $4,300 for second. We thought something on the order of 60/40 was more suitable.
