OTB and rollout

Close a point and start the last one yeilds the most closeouts the fastest.
Where's the fire? 8~)
The deuce point is where the action is. If White succeeds in building a full prime, he will have very few accidents rolling it home. The ace point is not nearly as important.
6/2 5/1 puts a second checker out of play, and prevents the first one from getting back into play. It allows Blue to get to the edge of the prime with tempo, and completely strips the position. If White rolls a 5 before Blue rolls a 2, that's great, but otherwise White has a flat 5-prime, two men out of play, two on the wrong side of the board, and one on the roof. How does he continue the attack? Better to use the spares to knock Blue off the edge of the prime after he gets there. In the meantime, White might make the deuce point naturally. And, of course, 22/14 brings a back checker to a useful place in case Blue should happen to roll you know what.
The double-slotting plays (e.g. 6/2 22/18) are better than 6/2 5/1. But the patient 22/14 is better still.
