Increasing your error rate against someone likely to blunder it up arguably might be good, but if you are playing Petko, that is not a realistic expectation... It is however awesome if you have the ability to definitely know the right play, and then choose to do a worse one to complicate the game! For, I must admit I don't know the right play myself, here. I just have finally decided that checker play should be as good as I can possibly play. Make a good play and let my opponents weaknesses show up, instead of make a bad play, and hope his mistakes overtake mine. It's a philosophical difference.
