I was trying to work out how I had managed to get myself into such an awkward position, but then remembered that I had been doing alot of 'pick n passes'.

I liked bar/20 at the time - or rather that was the play that I didnt want to see. But, retrospectively, I wonder if there are more single wins here for blue by entering on the 21, and playing a spurious ace elsewhere. I suppose the gammon price is high enough (i.e. match) that it becomes very important to not get gammoned.
