FWIW I am not very computer knowledgeable, so maybe I am way off base here. But....

Perhaps some more info would be helpful. Which browser are you using?

I recently (about 6 weeks ago) got a new pc. I finally had enough "juice" that my system could handle Firefox with Adblocker (a godsend). Anyway, I almost always use Firefox now instead of IE. But I realized early on that both browsers use different caches. More to the point, the cookies from one browser aren't "used" for the other browser. Perhaps you used a browser that you haven't used in about 4 weeks?
