Question: In French, how do you say the expression "whatever will be will be"? (I forget how this question was worded exactly, but it is an American expression)
Answer: Que sera sera.
Again, I forget the exact wording of the question but it was clear they wanted to know how to say "whatever will be will be" in French so upon hearing that part of the question I started writing "Ce qui sera, sera." Then I caught the tail end of the question noting that we used the expression in English. Well, it didn't take long to put together what the question answer was meant to be, even though it's clearly not French.
