Playing a duplicate tourney should remove the luck factor for the most part.

In all the years I used to play tournament bridge, I honestly dont think I ever considered myself unlucky. It was always a case of 'well, I shoulda bid it properly', and 'if its two overtricks I need to get average imps, then I shoulda played for 2 overtricks'. Or, I would blame partner - the most common reason for a poor or average showing.

Would love to play again, but alas, wife, toddler, baby on the way, full time job, mild bg addiction, makes for little bridge playing time.
