Closeout now is going to win more gammons, but enough to compensate for 2-2 and 3-3 boardcrashers?

I'm surprised that everyone is looking at this the way they are...hitting two is clearly going to win more gammons, and 22 and 33 are not a serious consideration IMHO (a consideration yes, a serious consideration, no).
