I don't think we can pass on the hit, even if our position is vulnerable at home, so 18/17*. Then I was thinking of continuing 17/15 to duplicate threes, but the duplication doesn't looks real. The only additional shots we leave by staying on the 17 is from 25 and 15, but then we can play 7/5 and remove the blot on the bar point which otherwise would be hit with 16. Hence I'll play 7/5 to have fewer blots at home.
