it looks close. hitting gives more gs, but more losses. after making the bar point, white will have the virtually impossible task of priming you and your 22 point anchor. making the bar doesn't preclude gammons, it just puts them on the back burner and puts another checker "in the zone" preventing him splitting the back checkers. he'll soon need 11 or 22 to have much of a chance here.
