Is bitching rude?

In Response To: Is bitching rude? (Frank_N_Stein)

I agree with Frank and Adam. I seldom play offline, but do occasionally and more often do I play card games. When offline and someone berates me I tend to get a smirk on my face (I swear I can't help it!) which seems to infuruate them further. This makes them actually play worse I find, so in a way it is my revenge for the bitching. They screw themselves.

At one time I used to get angry (yeah it's the red hair) and then it was MY game that suffered. I much prefer my life now; I have less stress overall. And it is actually funny...at least to me, ergo the smirk. I am not one who hides her emotions well so no poker, nope, not unless I have a mask on and shades.

Back to online bg: When I win with amazing dice I am the first to say it and sometimes that forestalls the whiners. The ones I dislike are those who whine whether they win or lose and, unless absolutely necessary, I simply refuse to play them. As an old gentleman I knew long ago would say, "They can kiss my kidowster."

Goofing around is another story. I have several online friends with whom the taunts and jibes, insults and antagonisms fly freely. People who don't know us have thought we hated each other until we explained. But for us it's fun.

And one more thing: When they wish me gl at the start of the match (or every game, oy), why oh why do they get so mad when I get it!
