This position is pretty simple for Blue to play so an average player can play it nearly as well as Neil K or Falafel. The weaker player should prefer to have as much of the match as possible riding on the outcome of simple games like these where the skill differential is minimized. Since this position is at worst a close pass between 2 even players, I think a weaker player should definitely take. If he passes, the next game will almost certainly be for the match but it figures to be a more complex game than this one.
