In Response To: Vegas Super Jackpot Entry Round (happyjuggler0)

Round of 2: 16,420 Round of 4: 9,852 Round of 8: 5,911.20 Round of 16: 3546.72

Round of 32: 2128.032

To answer Bill Riles' question (I think), if you enter in the round of 32, you are betting $1000 to gain another $1128.032 on top of your entry fee, while if you enter in the round of 16 you are betting $2000 to gain another $1546.72 on top of your entry fee.

Your percentage gain is less when entering the round of 16, but your absolute gain in $ terms is higher by entering the round of 16. since this isn't the stock market, where you can split your $2000 into two different $1000 bets during the same time period, you are better off doing as Nack says, and buying the bye. Assuming you are a positive equity player of course.
