16/8 for me. Maintaining your board in case you get hit, breaking contact at a time when getting hit may provide you with a shot. 55 is going to be a great roll for you no matter what happens this turn.
The major idea behind this play is that in addition to good rolls for White, Blue creates some bad rolls. If Blue minimizes shots by moving 16/11 and 16/13, then White either hits or runs past. Now 61,62,63, 64, and some of the hitting rolls all leave return shots. Blue hopes not to get hit, but he derives maximum compensation when he does... He preserves chances in more eventualities... ie: he has more ways to win.
Breaking the board may be safest, but it renders future hits less effective and wastes pips in this DMP game. I don't want to make any concessions. Safety is overrated.
